Description
The Coastal and Marine Engineering Research Institute (CAMERI), in collaboration with the Hatter Department of Marine Technologies at the Leon H. Charney School of Marine Sciences (University of Haifa), is seeking a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Researcher to conduct cutting-edge research in ocean engineering with a focus on hydrodynamics and wave-structure interaction. This project is a joint research initiative between Dr. Gil Wang (CAMERI & University of Haifa) and Israel Ports Company (IPC). The work will advance the development of novel floating infrastructure through integrated numerical modelling and physical testing to accurately capture the complex behavior of multi-body marine structures offshore. The successful candidate will join an active and collaborative research environment, contributing to innovative coastal and offshore engineering solutions with significant national impact.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Ocean Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated expertise in theoretical hydrodynamics, numerical modeling, and/or experimental hydrodynamics (towing tank/wave flume or basin testing).
- Strong motivation to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary research environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong scientific publication record is an advantage.
